ForkOn and Kuhn Ladetechnik: a strong partner for Austria

Some partnerships are drawn up on paper. This one grew over years — out of two careers that kept crossing in the intralogistics industry before they finally met in a shared partnership: ForkOn and Kuhn Ladetechnik.

Kuhn Ladetechnik is our general partner for Austria

ForkOn has been working closely with Kuhn Ladetechnik on the Austrian market for some time. Kuhn carries out the fitting of ForkOn technology at customers in Austria on site — from the first vehicle to the larger fleet. On more extensive customer projects Kuhn brings ForkOn in directly, so that our team supports wherever additional know-how is needed. Kuhn's sales team offers the complete ForkOn service portfolio in Austria: from the first analysis to the ongoing support of the fleet.

For Austrian companies that means one contact on the ground who knows the local conditions and can draw on the full depth of the ForkOn platform.

The story behind the partnership

Behind the cooperation stands a connection considerably older than the partnership itself. Volker Quirin has known Thomas Lanschützer, today head of sales at Kuhn Ladetechnik, from the days when Thomas was selling industrial trucks for various dealers in Austria.

About seven years ago I brought Thomas to Mobile Easykey, where he looked after south-eastern Europe — Austria as the main market, plus Hungary, Poland, Slovenia and Slovakia/Czechia. In his last three years there Thomas worked directly in my department and carried out vehicle and customer analyses on an audit basis. After we had both left Mobile Easykey we met again: Thomas as head of sales at Kuhn, me at ForkOn.

This shared past — including the experience with audit-based vehicle and customer analyses — is today the basis for a partnership in which both sides speak the same language.

The audit as a door opener

For Thomas, working with ForkOn was not only about a fleet-management system for industrial trucks in Austria. A tool that gets him a foot in the door at medium-sized and large companies mattered just as much: the 360° Intralog Audit. The strategy behind it is clear: use the audit to make first contact with major customers, introduce Kuhn Ladetechnik as a partner on that basis — and supply the matching industrial trucks in a second step.

For ForkOn this is a model that shows exactly how its own product portfolio works together in practice: the audit opens the door, the telematics deliver the data, and in the end customer, dealer and ForkOn all benefit from a solid, neutral basis.

We are glad to be opening up the Austrian market together with a partner like Kuhn Ladetechnik — a partner who knows the region as well as almost no one else.
